A little bit about this cartoon...
One of the crucial elements to an effective political cartoon, is that the reader (viewer?) has some background knowledge of the issue. Admittedly, more people knew JLo's latest husband's name, than knew the name of the opposition masses in the Ukraine... The Orange Revolution. I also wanted to play off of the fact that a real-life poisoning of a candidate had taken place! Bizarre to say the least. -Jim
